Don’t we just love our beloved Stoke-on-Trent! The roads, the roundabouts, the wonderful ‘D’ road… We know them all off by heart. But do we?

Some of our learner drivers can be a little over-confident when they first come to Avanti. They’ve had a few lessons with mum and dad and think they’ve got the basics all sorted but really, they’ve got so much more to learn. As we know, it’s all too easy to become complacent.

That’s why we try and challenge all of our pupils, taking them to parts of the Potteries that they might not know of. Why? It really helps to boost their confidence by taking them out of their comfort zone and introducing them to new roads or roundabouts that they might not have realised existed.

Because out on the real road – when you haven’t got your friendly driving instructor to help you out – you’ll be coming across new roads and traffic situations all the time.
